We don’t accept online bookings for kayak rental, only for guided tours (see below). We have many tandem kayaks so there is no need to book them in advance. It hardly ever happens that we run out off kayaks. Nevertheless, the best way how to secure your kayak during the high season is to come before midday.
I never kayaked before. Can I still rent a kayak?
Yes, our kayaks are stable and easy to steer even as a very beginner. We will give you a brief instruction before you kayak off into Berlin’s waters.
How old do I have to be to steer a kayak?
Children and teenagers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What should I bring for a kayak trip?
Weatherproof clothing (i.e. headgear, sun cream, long and light shirt for strong sunshine and/ or rain jacket, spare clothing for rainy weather), something to drink!
Can I kayak at any weather? Or are there restrictions?
Kayaking is not possible in stormy weather, thunderstorms and/ or any other unsafe weather conditions.
Clouds and a little drizzle shouldn’t stop you from starting your kayak tour. It certainly doesn’t stop us!
Can I steer a tandem kayak on my own?
Yes, our tandem kayaks can be perfectly steered by one person alone.
Where can I store my personal belongings?
Important things you want to take with you on the tour, you can store in a waterproof container provided by us. There is also the possibility to store your belongings on our jetty.
What should I keep in mind?
Please obey the water traffic regulations, give way, do not stand up in the kayak, generally be considerate, respect nature and animals – and have fun.
